Satin is available in a wide variety of colours, shades, and prints.

Satin fabric is resistant to abrasion and maintains its texture after washing. It also has low thermal conductivity, which guarantees you a suitable temperature for any weather.

-         Satin fabric can shrink and lose shape when using hot water in the washing process.

Types of Satin Fabric

-         Antique satin uses unevenly spun yarns as the weft threads is woven in 5 harness or 8 harness fashion.

-         Baronet satin uses rayon warp threads and cotton weft threads, and it is considered extremely lustrous.

-         Charmeuse satin, from the French word for “charmer”, is very lightweight with an easy drape, and it has the traditional characteristics of satin with a shiny front and a dull back.

Important Tips on How to Take Care of Satin

-         Make sure to wash from one-color satin clothes and avoid putting different colours together.

-         When you want to get rid of a stain on a piece of satin, use shampoo and water and wash it gently to remove it completely, and avoid washing the stain only. Wash the whole piece of clothing so that the stain doesn’t increase in size.

-         Make sure to spread the piece of clothing made of satin when drying, to facilitate the ironing process.

-         It’s preferable to use a piece of soft cotton cloth when ironing satin clothes by placing it on the satin fabric to avoid burning the satin as a result of being exposed to the heat of the iron directly.
